This is a one-of-a-kind Huss & Dalton TOM-R Custom built to Traditional Series specs and featuring a truly special tonewood pairing. This OM-inspired model delivers the balance, responsiveness, and versatility Huss & Dalton is known for—equally at home for fingerstyle, flatpicking, or strumming. The top is a striking Bearclaw Lutz Spruce, offering exceptional stiffness, headroom, and a lively, complex voice with rich overtones, strong bass, and a sweet, open midrange. The back and sides are crafted from rare Flamewood (Siamese/Thai Rosewood – Dalbergia cochinchinensis), an older, seasoned set acquired from a retired luthier’s private stash, displaying beautiful reddish hues with shimmering flame figure and delivering classic rosewood warmth, sustain, and clarity with a slightly brighter, ringing character that pairs perfectly with the highly figured Bearclaw Lutz Spruce top. Appointments include 25.4” scale length, 1-3/4” nut width, and a high-gloss finish. Fresh from the Huss & Dalton shop with zero play time, this guitar includes its original hard case and documentation. A standout custom that blends vintage-inspired aesthetics with modern playability and elite handmade tone—already wide open and incredibly inspiring here in the shop.
